How does it work


Why is there a minimum order? List Owners require a minimum amount to cover the costs of producing the list. Often a certain manual work is required to produce a list. Brokers also make their money on the base or minimum and would be less likely to recommend a list with no minimum. What is a single use rental? This is a list that gives the purchaser the right to use the file only once.
What is a Multi-use list
The list is purchased with the permission given by the list owner to use the list on a multi-use arrangement.
How would you tell that I misused the list?
List owners seed their lists to ensure that the rented data is not misused by the bearer. Who owns the lists? Unless the list owner gives rights to the purchaser, the list owner always retains ownership of the list.
What is a compiled or response list?
Compiled lists are lists put together by data compilers for the purpose of reselling the data to B2B marketers. " Response lists are created through survey and incentive questionnaires. Mailers use this data to reach people they would not be able to identify otherwise. Response lists can be used for Lead lists, Consumer mailings, and many other consumer offers.
What are the minimum costs involved in buying a list?
Depending on the targeted nature of your list and volume being purchased, the range runs from 4 to 50 cents a record. Most B2C mailing lists range from 6 to 12 cents a record plus selects. Business lists usually have 3,000 name minimums with Consumers having 5,000 name minimum , and are lower on a cost per thousand basis.

ECPM - Estimated Cost Per Thousand
A Google term used to tell site owners how much they would be charged or ad dollars they will generate for each 1000 impressions produced.
Consumer Data
Consumer Data is comprised of any information that is derived from any personal data points, these include Home Address, Home Phone, Personal Email, HHI, Debt, Net Worth or any other information that is related to 1 individual or household.
Business Data
Business Data is information that is derived from businesses or business professionals. This includes business revenue, company size, industry of work, type of work, function or title. Business data is used to help businesses better target businesses to do business with and offer services.
HHI -House Hold Income
The yearly income of a give household.
Recency
This refers to how old the data is or often used as 'Most Recent Data' - Meaning last 10 Days recency. This would be the last 10 Days only provided.
FSA - Forward Sortation Area
Forward Sortation Area or the first three postal codes of the Canadian Postal Codes.
